Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's location to show nearby accessible places and calculate distances. Location data is used in real time and is not stored on our servers.

User Content: We collect content you voluntarily provide, including comments, reviews, place submissions, accessibility ratings, and contributions. This content is associated with your account and displayed publicly to other users.

Usage Data: We may collect information about how you interact with the App, such as pages visited, features used, and the date and time of your activity, to improve the App experience.

• To enable community contributions, comments, and moderation
• To calculate and display NDA 2018 compliance scores for buildings

• Public Content: Comments, reviews, and place contributions you submit are visible to other users of the App.
• Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party services that help us operate the App (e.g., hosting, payment processing via Paystack). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal processes.
• Organizations: If you are part of an organizational account, certain usage and compliance data may be shared with your organization's administrators.

Public contributions (comments, place edits) may be retained in anonymized form to preserve the integrity of the accessibility database.

CivAccess is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services (such as maps and payment processing). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
